WHAT IS THE RHA® COLLECTION?
RHA® stands for “Resilient Hyaluronic Acid,” which refers to an especially robust form of the sugar molecule that is found naturally throughout the body—including the skin, where its ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water makes it a critical component in staying well-hydrated and moisturized.
The hyaluronic acid made for the fillers in the RHA® Collection is formulated to more closely resemble the hyaluronic acid made in the skin, which easily adapts to facial movements—especially in highly dynamic areas, such as around the mouth. This gives the results an especially natural look.
There are multiple formulations in the RHA® Collection, each with a specific focus:
RHA® 2
This filler is designed to reduce the appearance of “early” lines, such as perioral lines, which are fine wrinkles that develop around the mouth. It can also subtly enhance the lips by adding volume, “fine tune” the shape of the lips for improved contours and symmetry, and fill in under-eye hollows
RHA® 3
Created to reduce moderate facial lines, this filler typically targets nasolabial folds, corner lines, marionette lines, and similar signs of aging related to volume loss and muscle activity.
RHA® 4
Similar to its counterparts, this filler also targets signs of aging on the lower face—but is used for patients with deeper, more severe corner lines and nasolabial folds. It can also be used to restore lost mid-face volume.
REDENSITY
Intended for “delicate” work, Redensity smooths vertical lip lines (sometimes called “smoker’s lines”) and similar fine wrinkles.
KEY RHA® COLLECTION DETAILS
Our Board-Certified and Cosmetic Fellowship-Trained Dermatologists are adept at quickly and expertly performing injections, which makes for natural-looking and long-lasting results that don’t take long to administer. A single RHA® session can be as short as a lunch break, with specifics depending on the area or areas being treated.
Expect some initial side effects, such as bruising and swelling, which will somewhat obscure the results at first. The added volume will be visible right away, but will appear increasingly natural and ideal as signs of the treatment fade in the days after a session.
